Individual and Team Crisis Consultation

Crisis or disaster can strike any organisation. Critical incidents range from a workplace accident, injury, death from illness or suicide of a colleague or client, redundancy or company closure, through to natural or human-made disasters. Interpersonal conflicts with a colleague or client can result in high levels of individual or team distress and impact health, well-being and productivity. The ongoing uncertainty related to the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns, social distancing, insecure employment, financial stressors, working from home and home schooling has increased anxiety and depression across the population.

People respond to stress and trauma in different ways. Most people, in time, will regain equilibrium, process the event, grieve and learn to live or adapt to a new reality or new normal. Other people experience greater difficulty and challenges to recovery. They may develop anxiety, depression or post traumatic stress disorder.

In the event of a crisis, indviduals and teams may benefit from an external debriefing consultation with a trauma specialist.
