Goal Setting When the Goal Posts Keep Shifting

“A goal properly set is halfway reached.” —Zig Ziglar

Knowing what we want and knowing how to go about achieving it are two different skill sets. Sometimes we may be clear on our goals. At other times we may know that something, personally or professionally needs to change but feel unsure how to make it happen. At some point in our lives most of us will be blind-sided by an unexpected event that may throw us off course or render a goal irrelevant or secondary to changed circumstances.

Goals that are important and meaningful can be thwarted or delayed due to external events or internal blocks and obstacles. Motivation, vision, clarity and commitment can wax and wane.  In times of transition, when the goal posts shift, it can create further challenge in setting and achieving goals.  Critical self-talk can undermine  and sabotage momentum.

In this training you will learn a practical step-by-step approach to setting goals, how to stay on track, trouble-shoot when the going gets tough and factor in the flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances.
